Concentra Bank Announces 2019 Q2 Financial Results, Declares Dividend

Concentra Bank (Concentra) posted solid second-quarter financial results, as reported to shareholders earlier today via the company's Q2 Investor Relations update.

Also reported, the Concentra Board of Directors declared a second quarter cash dividend of $0.139539 per common share, representing a $1.34 million total quarterly payment to common shareholders.

Concentra's financial performance was highlighted in the Q2 year-to-date results with Concentra recording a net income of $9.0 million, down slightly from Q1, along with revenue of $31.0 million (up 6% from Q1) and a return on equity of 8.7%.

Concentra ended the quarter with total reported assets of $9.3 billion, with a CET1 ratio of 13.0%. Concentra maintains a high quality composition of capital, in excess of regulatory minimum requirements.

Notable business highlights from Q2 include:

  • Total assets declined and capital ratios strengthened
  • Steady results in our Commercial Lending business
  • Strong results in residential mortgages even as growth slowed during this quarter
  • Very strong growth for our Consumer Lending business

In summary for Q2, Concentra remains focused on delivering value to owners through consistent dividends, and building a stronger franchise model.

Concentra delivers a quarterly dividend payment to provide a more frequent and consistent return to our common shareholders. Since 2005, Concentra has returned more than $82.3 million in dividend payments to common shareholders1, executing on its strategy to drive growth in the credit union system.

Demonstrating consistently strong financial performance and shareholder returns reinforces the value Concentra provides for Canadian credit unions.
