Concentra Bank Names Don Coulter as President and CEO


January 10, 2018 (Regina, SK): Following an extensive search process, the Board of Directors is excited to announce the appointment of Don Coulter as President and Chief Executive Officer of Concentra Bank. Don plans to begin his role in March, 2018.

Daniel Johnson, Chairman of the Concentra Board of Directors remarked, "Don's outstanding leadership ability, strong financial acumen and extensive expertise, particularly within the credit union system, stood out all the way through our search process. Don brings a talent for bold and innovative thinking, superior strategic insight and an energetic, engaging style." Johnson continued, "The board is confident Don is the right leader to drive Concentra forward, and we are thrilled to have such an exceptional, proven talent joining our team."

Coulter remarked, "I'm excited and honoured to be joining Concentra. With a reputation as a strong supporter of credit union growth, Concentra's continuance as a bank provides significant new options for us to strengthen the company, and create value for the credit union system. Concentra is an innovative organization with outstanding client service, and I am looking forward to leading this team as we continue to achieve great things."    

Johnson added, "As we enter this next chapter, Don will build on Concentra's success and guide the company toward continued growth and value within the credit union system."

Don's appointment results from an extensive and comprehensive search process, in which the Concentra Board carefully considered the desired attributes, characteristics and experiences required in our new CEO. A comprehensive transition plan is being developed to address and ensure smooth changeover in leadership.

The Board extends thanks to Spencer Stuart for their assistance in the recruitment process, and offers deepest appreciation to Brian Guillemin for his interim leadership and guidance of Concentra. Brian will resume his previous position as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Services upon Don's arrival.
